Bringing Reformed Church Leaders Together

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Myanmar

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Myanmar was founded in Falam, Chin State in Myanmar in 1983, under the leadership of Rev. Robert Thawm Luai. The EPCM currently has 5,000 members in 33 local churches, with 25 ordained ministers. It is divided into four presbyteries. As its doctrinal standards, it has adopted the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechism.

The EPCM operates a seminary known as the Evangelical Presbyterian Seminary, where it has a lay training component for residents of Yangon, as well as a 30-member student body training for ministry.

In other ministries, the EPCM operates an orphanage, a rural medical clinic, a home for the elderly, and a middle school.
