Bringing Reformed Church Leaders Together

Reformed Church in Japan

The Reformed Church in Japan was founded in 1946. They have 83 congregations with 61 unorganized churches or preaching stations. The 131 ministers and 7 evangelists serve some 9,507 members and regular attenders. The churches meet annually in a general assembly. They have adopted the Westminster Standards (with Larger and Shorter Catechisms) as their doctrinal standards.

In 2008, the RCJ suspended its participation in the REC for some time. The REC Executive Committee continues to regard the RCJ as a member unless it withdraws its membership.
