Reformed Church of East Africa The Reformed Church of East Africa was founded in 1944. They have 205 congregations. The 62 ministers and 60 evangelists serve some 25,000 members and regular attenders. The churches meet annually in a synod. The churches have adopted the Holy Scriptures and the historic confessions of faith (Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, Athanasian Creed) as their doctrinal standards. The RCEA is focused on three main areas of mission, namely, urban missions, to street children, and to rural nomads. They are also evaluating the role of women's ministries in their church.
