Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ in Nigeria (ERCC)
The Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ in Nigeria was founded in
1916 by the Sudan United Mission (S.U.M.), South African branch. They
have 267 congregations. The 277 ordained pastors and 1000 Evangelists
serve some 1,500,000 members and regular attenders. The church meets
twice a year in General Church Council. They have adopted the Apostles
Creed as their doctrinal standard.
This church has a Mission Board that organizes members to go out for
missionary witness every month. When new converts are made an
evangelist is sent to work among them. They have a Rural Development
Program to help the less fortunate. They make small scale loans and
give aid to the needy. They also have about 31 clinics in rural areas.
