Bringing Reformed Church Leaders Together

Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN)

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria was founded in 1846 by the Church of Scotland missionary team led by Rev. Hope Masterton Waddell. They have more than 1,000 congregations with nine Synods and 50 presbyteries. About 600 ministers serve more about a million members and regular attenders. The church's highest court, the General Assembly, meets biennially in General Assembly. The church operates through courts, named in ascending order: Parish, Presbytery, Synod, General Assembly. The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria has adopted the Westminster Confession of Faith and other confessions of the Reformed tradition as part of its doctrinal standards, subordinate only to the Scripture.
