Christian Reformed Church in the Philippines
The Christian Reformed Church in the Philippines was organized in 1976, as the results of church planting ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. The Christian Reformed World Missions began its church planting work in Negros Occidental and from there spread to the islands of Luzon, Panay, Leyte and Mindanao. As the number of churches grew the need to form the Philippines Synod followed. They have 43 organized churches and more than 40 emerging churches with a total number attending of 6,000. They have 60 pastors (ordained, unordained/missionaries/church planters). They are formed into five Classes and each Classis targets church planting activities in major towns or cities in their region. They also undertake evangelistic rallies for their region in cooperation with other Christian churches. Each Classis has a Diaconal Committee with the delegated authority to prepare and implement a deacon development program. They have adopted the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism,
the Canons of Dort, the Apostles' Creed, Nicene Creed and the
Athanasian Creed. Website: www.crcphil.com
